Flight training schools were created across Great Britain during the beginning of WWII, as well as parts of the British Commonwealth and several in the U.S. In June 1941, the Stearman PT-17 Kaydet operated out of 4BFTS (British Flight Training School) located in Mesa, Arizona. Made by Hobby Master, this 1/48 scale, die cast replica of a PT-17 Kaydet, as it appeared with 4BFTS in Mesa during the early 1940s, features authentic markings and hand-painted detail, free-rolling wheels, a removable pilot figure, and a display stand. 8" wingspan.
