About the Little John
Designed for rapid deployment with airborne and ground forces, the solid-fueled, spin-stabilized Little John could be launched from a simple, collapsible platform and had a range of roughly 10 to 15 miles, carrying a W45 nuclear warhead. Compact enough to be transported by helicopter or truck, it was retired in the late 1960s.
