A Baltimore-Class heavy cruiser, the USS Pittsburgh (CA-72) was commissioned in October 1944 and left for the Pacific in January of the following year — where she would go on to assist in the Iwo Jima and Okinawa campaigns. She received two Battle Stars for her World War II service and, after brief action in the early 1950s, the Pittsburgh was decommissioned for good in 1956.

Replicating the famous warship, this 1/480 scale plastic kit features moveable guns and turrets, complete secondary and AA gun mounts, realistic deck details, scout planes, a crane, historic markings, and more. Assembly required. Skill level 2. Measures approximately 16¾" long.
